It is also worth knowing that the formula manufacturers all stress that breastfeeding is best for babies, but that even where a baby is formula fed for whatever reason, that baby can and should stay on the first stage infant formula for the whole 12 months, and that there is no need to move from first stage infant formula (the so-called whey dominant formula) onto the hungry baby or follow on milks, which are casein dominant, at all.
